So, how much does a U.S. copyright registration cost?
The short answer is “not much.” A more useful answer: $35-$55 if you do it yourself or $250-$500 if you hire an attorney to help you.
The standard filing fee for electronic registration is $55. However, the filing fee is $35 if you register one work, not made for hire, and you are the only author and claimant. To access electronic registration, go to the Copyright Office's website at www.copyright.gov.
